EDUCATION SERVICES MISSION
Education Services seeks to establish an environment where teachers and principals are encouraged to be creative. The department oversees programs in grades TK-12 in offering diverse educational programs and services. Our approach to creating vibrant educational programs can be summed up as, "A creative spirit that enables inspired teaching, and dynamic leadership."
We seek to provide effective instruction to promote college and career readiness.

Advanced Placement (AP)- EHS offers eight Advanced Placement courses that allow students to take college level classes and earn college credit upon the passage of an exam. The courses are as follows; US History, Spanish Language, Calculus AB, Statistics, Human Geography, European History, English Language, and English Literature. Career and Technical Information (CTE) - CTE is a program of study that gives students technical knowledge and hands-on training and education in one of 15 different career pathways. Students who complete a CTE pathway are able to graduate high school with skills that make them ready to enter the workforce or begin post-secondary education. The CTE programs at EHS are Floral Design, Culinary, Agriscience, Digital Arts Media and Agricultural Mechanics. English Language Development (ELD)- Students who have a first language other than English receive support services to develop their English skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. EHS offers a period of English support for these students to help them reach proficiency in the English language. In all classes, teachers use instructional techniques that support students as they improve their English skills and learn the subject content. To view the California ELD Standards click HERE.
Dual Enrollment- EHS offers five courses that are dual enrolled with Woodland Community College and Los Rios Community College District. Students who complete the enrollment paperwork and complete the course receive credit on a college transcript. These courses can be used to satisfy General Education requirements at community colleges and universities. The courses that are dual enrolled are; Intro to Culinary, Advanced Culinary, Plant Science, Spartan Success and Digital Arts Media.
